WHAT DOES LR-X® DO?
LR-x® is a cloud based, easy to use, real time technology for heightened situational awareness of chemical spills, CBRN threat, airborne hazard events, and wildfire management. By producing a hazard visualization in near-real time, first response decisions can be made using 3D Wind Field and ALOHA model results in under 5 minutes. No other technology provides continuously updated modeling using current and forecasted weather conditions; essential information for making critical decisions related to threat assessment, on-site muster zone location, incident response location, evacuation considerations, and containment approach.

"In emergency situations involving the release of airborne hazards, there are many levels of decisions that must be made in order to protect soldiers and/or civilians from those airborne hazards. In order to take the appropriate action, e.g. an evacuation of personnel, it is necessary to know, or at least estimate, the range and rate of spread of the airborne hazard over the area of interest."
LR-x® "evaluates airborne hazards using as few as a one single sensor module which detects atmospheric conditions and generates output signals representative of those conditions."
Multiple atmospheric sensors, of course, provide a more complete assessment of the hazard.
"The system receives the output from the sensor and generates a model "output signal" representative of a calculated wind flow and plume footprint, when applicable, over an area of interest."
"A display module receives the model output signal and visually displays the calculated wind flow and its effect on a plume … in near real-time."

WHAT MAKES LR-x® DIFFERENT THAN ALOHA?
Simply said, ease of use.
LR-x® takes the time and guess work out of running situational awareness models. We have taken the endless ALOHA fields and compiled them into a very streamlined, easy-to-use application that automatically archives both live and what-if-scenario model runs. LR-x® also provides the added benefit of 3D wind models over terrain.

DO I NEED TO MAINTAIN ALOHA IF I USE LR-x®?
No. It is fully maintained in the cloud for you!
DO I HAVE TO USE MY DESKTOP?
No. LR-x® is a 100% mobile accessible. You can use your mobile phone, tablet, laptop or if you so choose, your desktop.
HOW DO I USE LR-X®?
With your first model available within 5 minutes of accessing the system by mobile , using the LR-x® truly is the easiest application available.
1. Deploy LR-x® by setting the incident location and set ALOHA parameters while in route to an incident by utilizing drop-down fields in addition to point-and-click fields.
2. Assess the current and four forecasted models.
3. Communicate the analysis with fellow first responders.

how do i SET AN INCIDENT LOCATION?
Setting an incident location is possibly one of the simplest things you will do in LR-x®. Once you have found the incident location on the map, you will drop a pin to it. One click. (Yes, it's really that simple).
what is the DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MODEL SETTINGS AND ADVANCED MODEL SETTINGS?
The Model Settings fields that auto-populate when setting parameters is the minimum information required. The Advanced Plume Model Settings are optional, and allow for additional information (if known) pertaining to ground roughness, chemical source, and threat zone.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO RUN A MODEL?
It takes less than five minutes to receive your first (current) model. Each of the additional four forecasted models will complete every two minutes after until complete. All models are automatically archived and can be reviewed at a later date for easy incident write-up after action reporting or training reviews.
WHAT ARE THE SYSTEM FEATURES?
LR-x® rapidly evaluates, predicts, and displays the spread of airborne hazards in an emergency situation. No other technology provides continuously updated modeling necessary for making critical decisions related to threat assessment, on-site muster zone location, evacuation considerations, and containment approach.
Several key features include:
Coming Soon – FirstNet ready devices will ensure First Responders get prioritization of their data and devices (tablets, mobile phones, weather sensors, etc).
Integrated with Google Maps, tablet touch controls allow you to easily create an incident location. LR-x® provides an initial wind field and plume model in less than 5 minutes and generates 4 forecast models to facilitate long-term response. The LR-x® system maps wind vectors over topography and toxic plume footprints. Easy-to-use toggle switches allow a user to customize and control a preferred view, including all Tier 2 chemical facilities near the incident, including Company contact information. All actual and training/simulation models are automatically stored in “Model History” for after action reporting
Several key features include:
- 100% Mobile & Cloud based technology (no hardware required)
- Geolocates and uses closest public weather station to the incident
- ALOHA/CAMEO – EPA/NOAA dispersion (plume) model
- Generates models based on weather forecasts to better understand impacted areas
- Topographical maps of entire USA and US Territories utilizing USGS 1 Arc-second Digital Elevation Models (DEMs)
- 60,000 Tier 2 Chemical Facilities shown on Google Map with Company Contact information
